Snow, rain slam East Kentucky

Pike County received between 4 and 6 inches of snowfall on Jan. 6-7, while the rest of Eastern Kentucky received between 4 and 8 inches. The snow was followed by large amounts of rain on Sunday, Jan. 9, as well as freezing temperatures, resulting in flash flood warnings and ice. This wintry weather mix throughout the weekend resulted in multiple school closures and delays between Jan. 7 and Jan. 10.
